Uniteee Violence and Incarceration Prevention

Our Founder

Marcus Woods founded UNITEEE Violence and Incarceration Prevention following a profound personal journey.

After enduring 17 years of wrongful imprisonment for a crime he did not commit, Mr. Woods transformed his hardship into hope, establishing an organization dedicated to changing lives and creating impact.

Today, UNITEEE's network has touched the lives of more than 700 young people across Southern California. Operating in different schools throughout Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, and Orange Counties, the organization has built lasting relationships that creates personal growth and positive change.

Upon regaining his freedom, Woods immediately dedicated himself to community service, despite facing personal challenges including homelessness. His lack of permanent housing did not deter his mission; he volunteered extensively, using his own story to inspire and elevate others.

To Mr. Woods, youth mentorship transcends mere obligation—it represents his life's calling. Eschewing personal gain, he has committed himself to providing high-risk youth with alternatives to violence and incarceration. Through UNITEEE, Mr. Woods and his team work tirelessly to spark hope, offer guidance, and nurture potential. Their mission focuses on dismantling obstacles that stand between at-risk youth and their dreams, creating pathways toward lives in search of purpose and achievement.
